Good to know when looking for accommodation
The most important thing we want to tell those who dream of a cottage holiday is that be on time! Unfortunately, we often find that the desired vacation date is already sold out. Seasonal weeks should be booked even 6-12 months in advance.

The accommodation price does not include bed linen, towels or cleaning. However, it is possible to order these in advance for a separate additional price.
The stay starts at 16:00 on the day of arrival and ends at 12:00 on the day of departure. The minimum booking time is two days.
​
We will try to answer for reservation inquiries and customer questions as soon as possible. Since we are a private rental agency, we do not have a separate reception.
​
The keys are stored in the locked key box on the wall of the cabins. The opening code for the key box is delivered to the customer before the start of the holiday.
You can easily get to Ruka by bus, your own car or by flying. The combination of train and bus is also a functional and affordable option!

There is plenty to do in Ruka all year round.

In summer Oulangka National Park versatile hiking trails invite you to marvel at the beauty of nature. For example, the Little Bear Circuit can be hiked in a day, even with the whole family. In the summer, Ruka also offers a wonderful setting for fishing, kayaking, boating, rafting and mountain biking. In the summer at Rukakeskus, it is also possible to experience the charm of speed on the summer toboggan run.

In winter, Ruka has excellent opportunities and conditions for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. The ski slopes are openup to 200 days per year, 170 kilometers of ski slopes and toboggan routes for every taste. As a day trip, we also recommend getting to know Husky safaris and visiting a reindeer farm.

Mountain biking in Ruka's scenery is great. There are a lot of mountain bike routes available. It is also possible to rent bikes on site.
